Ramen is a popular meal in Japan, and there are said to be 25,000 and more ramen restaurants. Ramen usually uses noodles made from wheat flour. However, there are about 20 restaurants that serve ramen that uses wheat-free and gluten-free noodles.
Some restaurants have gluten-free everything on their menu, while others may have only the noodles gluten-free, while the toppings and soup may contain wheat ingredients, so be sure to research carefully before eating.

The most famous gluten-free restaurant in Japan. All menu items are gluten-free and vegan options are also available. Most of the menus that Japanese people often eat, including ramen, are available. There are many foreign customers, and there is an English menu, so you don’t have to worry.

The noodle dishes at this restaurant are not strictly ramen. However, the thickness of the noodles is almost the same as ramen, and it is gluten-free. There are very few noodle restaurants in Japan that do not use wheat flour. We recommend visiting when you want to eat delicious gluten-free noodles. It is in a slightly inconvenient location.

It is located in Tokyo Ramen Street, where eight representative ramen shops in Japan gather. Gluten-free menu is only “gluten-free shio.” Other menu items are not gluten-free. “Gluten-free shio” uses brown rice noodles, and the soup and ingredients are also gluten-free. It is usually boiled in the same pot as the wheat noodles, but if you request, the noodles will be boiled separately from wheat noodles. There is vegan menus, too.
